SIMON ROLF THORESEN,
A.I.A. received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Harvard University. He has worked with the well-known architecture firms of Caudill Rowlett Scott, the Architects' Design Group and I.M. Pei & Partners in New York City. He has been responsible for coordinating the construction of the new campus of Kingsborough Community College, City University of New York, as well as remodeling its existing buildings. Subsequently, he was a partner in the architectural firm Scully Thoresen and Linard. In addition, he has taught architectural history at Southampton College on Long Island, New York. Mr. Thoresen's experience includes commercial, institutional and residential buildings. He has been involved in the design and technical documentation for hospitals, schools, theaters, office buildings and residences, as well as large scale planning projects. received his undergraduate degree from Carnegie Institute of Technology and did his graduate studies at Yale University. Mr Linard has held positions of major responsibility for a broad range of projects of national and international recognition in his association with the architectural firms of Lethbridge and Condon, Washington, D.C., Eero Saarinen/Kevin Roch John Dinkeloo and Associates. Later, he became partner in the firm of Scully Thoresen and Linard. During that period, Mr. Linard was involved in the design development and construction administration of large corporate structures, research laboratories, a variety of buildings for educational and non-profit institutions and governmental agencies, large housing projects in New York City, Washington and Virginia, and rehabilitation of commercial and residential buildings in Manhattan.
